Korean Government Scholarship Program (GKS)
The Korean Government Scholarship Program (GKS) is one of the most prestigious fully funded opportunities for international students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate study in South Korea. It rewards academic excellence with comprehensive financial support and a clear pathway into Korea's top universities.
Benefits
Selected scholars receive full tuition coverage, a generous monthly living stipend, a settlement allowance on arrival, round-trip airfare, and one year of intensive Korean language training before their degree begins.
- 100% tuition for the full duration of study
- Monthly living stipend of approximately $900
- Return flights and medical insurance
- One year of funded language preparation
Eligibility
Applicants must hold citizenship of an eligible country, be under the age stated for their degree level, and maintain a strong academic record. A demonstrated interest in Korean culture and language strengthens an application considerably.
Our scholars typically begin preparing twelve months before the deadline — early documentation is the single biggest predictor of success.
